Country Landscapes & Nursery - Ames

I purchased a tree from Country Landscapes last year, and it died within the warranty period. They agreed to replace it, but the entire process has been incredibly frustrating. Since April, I have visited the nursery more than ten times. Every single time, I was told the same thing: “It should be about four to five more weeks before our crew comes to plant it.” Today is July 9, and the replacement tree still has not been planted. This Tuesday, I called again and was given an even more unbelievable explanation. I was told that the planting crew had called me, but because I wasn’t home and didn’t respond, they were unable to replace the tree. This is simply not true. I never received any phone call, and I was home that day. I called again today, and once again, no one could tell me when the tree would actually be replaced. I understand that landscaping companies can get busy, but waiting over three months while repeatedly being given inaccurate information and empty promises is unacceptable. The lack of communication and accountability has been extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not purchase anything from Country Landscapes again, and I cannot

Bought an oak tree last fall. The staff was great and very helpful. I got a great price and a great tree. The tree is doing great this spring. I highly recommend Country Landscapes.

I just moved into the area and will be needing some landscaping done at the home I just purchased. I just stopped out at Country Landscapes and Nursery to speak with them and was planning on purchasing many plants and having some landscaping done in my back yard. I was probably there for at treat 15-20 minutes walking around and not one person spoke to me or approached me to ask if I needed assistance. I finally picked up a couple of plants and took them to the purchasing area and stood for several minutes. Again, no one came to wait on me. After a few minutes I put the plants back, walked around for a few minutes more to see if anyone would approach me. No one spoke to me, so I left. I can honestly say I haven’t seen that bad of customer service in a long time.

I needed some grading and seeding after a garage build. They were very responsive and very timely with the services, provided as discussed. I also ordered mulch to be delivered a couple of times, and it was delivered lightning fast, and at an amazing price. Would highly recommend.

We've been with several landscape companies over the past 23 years and Country Landscapes and Nursery is hands down one of the best company's we have ever worked with. From the staff on the phone to the gardeners that come out to the house they are the most kind, courteous, and respectful group of people that we have had work in/around our home . They are 5 stars plus! -The Lair Family
